ハネナガイナゴ?/ Oxya japonica?
目の端から体側にかけての筋が決め手になるか。/The line starting from the eye along the body
is remarkable.
イナゴかバッタの一種だと思うけれど、どう特定したらよいのかちっとも分からない。後ろ足がまだら模様になっていて背中全体が黒っぽい。前の四本の足は緑色。はて？/ A kind of locust? How could I identify its name?
体が白くて頭だけ白いイモムシ。さて、何の幼虫だろう。/ A white caterpiller with a black head. I wonder whose young worm it is.
空蝉を山路に残し主何処 / Where is the cicada which has cast off its shell in a mountain lane?
コオロギだと思うのだけれど、種類は？オンラインの図鑑とだいぶ睨めっこをしていたが、分からない。左のヒゲと後ろ足がかけているように思う。/ I guess it is a kind of cricket, but I can hardly find out which one although I kept watching online insect guide for a long time. This one lacks its left antena and the left hinder leg.
残念ながらピンボケ。小さな甲虫の一種のようだった。/ Unfortunately this photo is out of focus. I remember it was a kind of small beetle.
オグルマ (Inula britannica var. chinensis) に似ているのだが、花の付き方が違うようにも思える。一本の茎に一つずつ、スッと伸びて群れてはいない。/ Probably one of the most common summer flowers in the bush in mountains but I can't find out its name yet.
コスモスにやってきた小さなバッタ。こんな鮮やかなコントラストをしていては、敵に見つかって食われてしまうのではないかと案じられるほど。/ A small locust visiting a scarlet cosmos. The contrast of colors are so remarkable that I'm afraid it will be easily found out by its enemies.
シシウド (Angelica pubescens) こちらははリフトの上から見下ろして撮影したもの。/ Ovseerved from above. I took this photo from the ski-lift.
シシウド (Angelica pubescens) 藪の中にあちこち真っ白な花を咲かせていた。こちらははそばによって撮影した。もっと接写すればよかった。/ This is the photo taken nearby. I should have taken closeup pictures.
岩陰に咲いていた桔梗。キキョウ (Platycodon grandiflorum) Japanese bellflower blooming behind rocks.
接写に失敗。キンミズヒキではないかと思うのだが、これでは確かめようがない。つくづく写真の撮り方が下手だと思う。夢中になって近寄りすぎて焦点を外す。/ A failure. Out of focus. I went too close to the flower. (Agrimonia pilosa var. japonica?)
アカツメクサ(Trifolium pratense ) どこの野原にでも咲いている草花ではあるけれど、高原で見ると一層可憐だ。/ We can find this flower everywhere but when we see it in the highland, it looks much more charming.
ユウガギク (Kalimeris pinnatifida) )かな、と思うが自信がない。/ There were so many of this kind of flowers in the field. Unfortunately I'm not sure of its name.
背の高い菊科とおぼしき植物。プロペラの羽のように花びらが開いていた。右の写真はそのクロースアップ。/ A very tall grass with flowers like chrysanthemum. Petals were open like propellers of a helicopter.
ハンゴンソウ（反魂草）: Senecio cannabifolius 日本の中部以北に分布すると図鑑には書いてある。これが本当にそうかどうか心許ないが。葉の形が「羽状に 3 〜 7 深裂している」ので識別出来るとあった。（「植物園へようこそ」より。）
フジバカマ(Eupatorium japonicum) 既に盛りを過ぎかけていたけれど、思わず近寄った。たくさん風に揺れていた。/ Boneset slightly overblown, but I was charmed by it.
道ばたの擬宝珠。ギボウシ(Hosta) / Blooming by lanes.
チョコレートコスモス (Bidens atrosanguineus)。チョコレートみたいな甘い香りがするというので鼻をくっつけてかいでみたが、よく分からなかった。/ This flower is called "chocolate cosmos" but it doesn't smell like that so much.
花弁の先がギザギザで先端と中心だけがほんのりピンクのコスモス。名前は記録し損なった。/ Please look at the end of each petal. Tips and center parts are pink. Sorry, I didn't take notes of this cosmos!
ダリアも同居している。これは「オレンジ・クッション」と呼ばれる品種。/ Dahlias are in this garden, too. This one is called "orange cushion."
「コルコムズホワイト」という名のダリア。/ Dahlia named "Colcom's White."I am not sure of the spelling.
「キューティー」という名のダリア。まん丸だった。/ Dahlia named "Cuty." It was really round.
「プリンセスダイアナ」という名のダリア。亡き人の、うつむき加減に見上げる仕草を何となく思い出させる。/ Dahlia named "Princess Diana." It reminds us of the deceased beauty who looked up slightly bowing.
純白のコスモス。/ Pure white cosmos.
赤とピンクのコスモスが並んで。/Red and pink cosmos together.
夕暮れ間近の野尻湖畔松ヶ崎。/ Lake Nojiri at Matsugasaki near sunset.
山の緑を映す湖水。/ Water in green reflecting the color of the mountain.
静かな湖面を時折水上スキーが切り裂いてゆく。/ Water-ski goes cutting through the quiet surface of the lake occasionally.
湖畔へ行く木道。/ Wooden path leading to the lakeside.
雨雲が消え残る朝の湖水。/ The lake in the morning. Rainy clouds are going away.
ボート乗り場。/ Boat pier of Lake Nojiri.
すぐ近くには「ナウマン象博物館」がある。発掘作業も進行中。/ Nauman Elephant Museum is nearby.
カラフルな船着き場。静かな湖はボート遊びに最適。/ A colorful boat pier. The quiet lake is good for rowing a boat.

「静かな湖畔の森の陰から〜」というカッコーの歌は、この野尻湖で生まれた。/ A famous Japanese camp song of cuckoo was composed here.
遊覧船に揺られて湖水を一周。/ We enjoyed a cruising of the lake on a big pleasure boat.
黒姫高原から野尻湖・斑尾方面を見晴らす。/ A view toward Lake Nojiri and Madarao mountains from Kurohime Highland.
水蒸気にかすむ野尻湖。/ A hazy view of Lake Nojiri.
スキーリフトが黒姫山中腹まで運んでくれる。/ The ski-lift takes us to the middle of Mt. Kurohime.
