1 Queenstown & Milfordsound

クイーンズタウンとミルフォードサウンド

We arrived in Auckland, NZ on March 21, 2018. /
3/21/2018 オークランド到着。

A flight from Auckland to Queenstown. /
国内便でオークランドからクイーンズタウンへ。

at AucklaAirport./
オークランド空港にて。

An Paralympian was welcomed enthusiastically by local people and media.
/ 地元の人々やメディから熱烈な歓迎を受けるパラリンピック選手

We climbed Bob's Hill by gondola in rain. Lake Wakatipu was in haze.
Bob's Hillにゴンドラで登ってはみたものの、ワカティプ湖は雨に煙っていた。

Kiwi & Birdlife Park was already closed. /
この日「キウイ&バードライフパーク」は既に閉じていた。

On the way to Queensotn to Milfordsound, we stopped by at Wanaka. A statue of "Takahe"(one of the endangered species) /
クイーンズタウンからミルフォードサウンドへ行く途中立ち寄ったワナカにて。絶滅危惧種のひとつ、タカヘの像。

A tour bus to Milfordsound. Except for a few Japanese, the bus was full of Chinese tourists./
ミルフォードサウンドへ行くツアー。数人の日本人以外は皆中国人観光客。

The landscape has changed into steep mountaqins in wilderness./
景色は高い山々と原野に変わる。

Mountains in the mist. /
霧に包まれた山々。

We got on board of Milford Sovereign. /
「ミルフォードソベリン号」に乗船。

Milfordsound, the fjord, is surrounded with steep mountains. /
ミルフォードサウンドは山に囲まれたフィヨルド（挟江）である。

Mountains surrounding the fjord are rocky covered only with mosses. /
囲む山々はゴツゴツした苔様の低木に覆われた岩肌を見せている。

After the rain numerous waterfalls go down over the rocky mountains. /
雨後には無数の滝が岩肌を伝って落ちてくる。（晴れると消える。）

The crusing boat went through fjord. It was very cold./
フィヨルドを進む観光船。とても寒かった。

At the end of the fyord, Tasman Sea opened./
フィヨルドの先にはタスマン海が開けた。

Look at the rock! What can you see there? /
「岩の上を見ろ！あそこに見えるのは？」

There were two seals on the rock! /
アザラシが二頭いた！

One of the biggest waterfalls which was constantly falling. /
枯れない瀑布の一つ。

The crusing boat coming back to Milfordsound port. Mountains in a distance are covered with snow./
ミルフォードサウンドの岸壁に帰還する観光船。遠くの山は雪を頂いている。
