 We were leaving Mt. Cook National Parak for Christchurch by bus/ マウントクック国立公園を離れ、バスでクライストチャーチに向かう朝  | 
    
 Before getting on a bus, we took a walk aroundthe hotel. / バスに乗車する前、ホテル付近のトレイルを少し歩いた。  | 
  
 It was cloudy. The mountains were covered with snow at the beginning of autumn. / 初秋、山々は雪をいただいている。  | 
    
 An impressive scene of this area: bare mountains were popping up in the bleak field. / 荒野に「禿山」の印象的な風景。  | 
  
 We really wanted to go on along the trail. / このトレイルをずんずんとどこまでも歩き続けたかった。  |

 To our regret, this was the last point we could explore this morning. / 残念ながらここまで歩くのが精一杯だった。  | 
    
 We could find boards with green and yellow like this one everywhere on trails. / トレイルでは各地でこの緑と黄色の標識を見ることができた。  | 
  
 On the way to Christchurch, we had a short break at Tekapo, famous for its "Church of the Good Shephered" and the starry night sky. / クライストチャーチに向かう途上休憩したテカポ。この小さな『善き羊飼いの教会』と満天の星空で有名な土地。  | 
    
 It really was a small church made with stones. Inside was quiet and cosy. / 本当に小さな教会堂。内部は静かで居心地のよい場所だった。  |

 The plaque attached on the wall of the church. It reads: Church of the Good Shephered / To the glory of God and in memory of the Pioneers of the Mackenzie Country / This stone was laid by H.R.H. The Duke of Gloucester..." / 教会堂に設置された石碑。「善き羊飼いの教会」神の栄光とマッケンジーカントリーの開拓者たちの思い出のために・・・」と書いてあるのが読める。1935年1月16日設置。  |
